National Energy Conservation day was celebrated at MTPS Kanti on 14th Dec 2022. A session was organised for employees of Kanti to commemorate this day wherein a brief background of energy conservation day and significance of the energy conservation practices was shared. The session was chaired by Sh. Debasis Sahu, HOP (MTPS) in presence of Sh. K.M.K. Prusty, GM(O&M), Sh Partha Nag, GM (OPN), all Sectional Heads and senior executives of O&M and Project. Thereafter, employees took the Energy conservation pledge administered by HOP (MTPS). Later on , Sh. Yogesh Singla, AGM (EEMG) shared key highlights of the Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill, 2022 which has been recently passed by the parliament. Further, Sh Sahu shared his views on measures that can be taken up for energy conservation in plant as well as township and emphasized on preparing short term and long-term action plans. He also suggested adoption of new and energy efficient technologies in plant O&M areas for further reduction in carbon footprint.
